David performed his BS (2016) research project at Utrecht University in the Inorganic Chemistry and Catalysis Group at Utrecht University, under the supervision of prof. dr. P.E. de Jongh. He performed his MS research in the same group, under the supervision of prof. dr. K.P. de Jong. During this project, he synthesised and studied various bifunctional catalysts for the direct conversion of synthesis gas to dimethyl ether (sponsored by CBMM). He is now working in the Friend group, studying dilute bimetallic alloys for their use in selective hydrogenation reactions.
