My research primarily aims to characterize biophysical fitness landscapes of evolving bacterial populations. One of my current project pivots around Dihydrofolate reductase (DHFR)--an enzymatic protein critical in nucleotide/DNA biosynthesis (the reason as to why it is an interesting drug target). I am deploying metabolomics-based systems biology tools to understand how potential drug candidates (some of which are in-house designed) interacts with DHFR and affect the bacterial viability on a systems scale.
